Service

The artist has the right to refuse service to any client and to cancel the commission process at any time.

Commission Process and Client/Artist Expectations

Reach out to the artist via email or her socials to request a spot on her waitlist or a price quote. When requesting a commission, please state explicitly what type you are looking for (see the Commissions page for options).

Once the artist accepts and confirms that she is in a position to begin working on the commission, the client's username and commission type will be displayed on the artist's Commission Status and Waitlist page unless the client explicitly requests anonymity in their initial outreach.

Before the artist begins on the initial sketch, the client must provide a viable Paypal email for the artist to send an invoice to, a description of what pose/expression/layout they want (the more detailed the better, unless the client is willing to give the artist more artistic freedom; she also welcomes MSPaint sketches!), and any references that the client feels are relevant (e.g. character reference sheets, inspirational photos, moodboards, etc.).

Once the artist has sent the invoice and received the agreed-upon portion of payment (usually half of front and half when finished), she will begin on the initial sketch. This sketch can be edited up to 5 times before an additional fee is required. Once approved, the artist will begin rendering the commission. Past this point, further edits may require further fees, subject to discretion. The client may request an update at any time.

Once the illustration is complete, the client will pay the remainder of the invoice and, unless explicitly requested otherwise, the image will be posted to the artist's social media accounts along with the client's chosen name/handle.

Client Usage of Art

After the commission is complete and the invoice is fully paid, the client may upload the image on their own social media sites if and only if credit is given to the artist in the description of the post.

If the client wishes to sell the artwork in the form of merchandise, use it as promotional material, or use it commercially in any other capacity, the client must discuss these terms with the artist before she begins to work on the commission.

The artist does not permit her art to be used in any form of AI training or generation, nor for it to be sold as an NFT.

If the client wishes to use the artist's work (commissioned or otherwise) as a profile picture, the client may do so without asking the artist first. However, the artist must be credited in the client's bio (or whatever equivalent there may be).

Payment and Refunds

Payment is conducted through Paypal in Pounds Sterling (£GBP).

The artist most often asks for half of the payment up front and half when the illustration is finished. However, the artist is open to discussing other payment plan options.

The artist may offer partial refunds only if the artist fails to meet an agreed-upon deadline, or the artist cancels the commission process entierly.

If a commission is canceled (whether by the artist or the client) after the artist has already completed and shared the initial sketch, a complete refund of the initial portion of payment will not be given (but a partial refund may be warranted if the initial payment covers more than just the initial sketch), but the rest of the invoice will be cancelled. Each case is subject to the artist's discretion.

Agreement

By paying the first installment of the commission invoice, the client agrees to all of the above terms and conditions.
