About the Author/Artist

Hello! My name is Mollish, and I am a 23 year old artist who just completed her masters degree in Philosophy. While academia is extraordinarily important to me, the arts, both visual and performing, are my biggest passions. I have been a freelance digital illustrator and creature designer since 2015, and my love of musical theater, tragic acting, and choral performance continues to fuel many aspects of my work, both creative and otherwise.

 

I've been a fan of Ranboo's content since 2020 -- their streams helped to keep me sane during the pandemic and beyond. If it weren't for their content, I would not have met or reconnected with many friends, grown my audience to this level, have had the courage to begin cosplaying again, or have mustered the inspiration to write and publicly share a piece of creative writing of this length.

"Unperson" is a passion project that combines my appreciation for Ranboo's work with my love of classical literature, philosophy, horror, creature design, creative writing, and theater. I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the reception that "Unperson" has received thus far -- I am overjoyed that so many of you seem to like my silly little AU as much as I do! Thank you all so much for your kind words and constant encouragement -- this project would not be what it is without your support!

Some of the key inspirations for "Unperson" are Bethesda's The Evil Within 2, the Black Mirror episodes "White Bear" and "Men Against Fire" (both written by Charlie Brooker), the books Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and 1984 by George Orwell, and the ancient Greek epic, Homer's Iliad.
